da bwin： Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli has explained his reasons for turning down Premier League side Birmingham City.

da dobrowin： The diminutive frontman admitted it was his desire to remain at the Serie A club to prove himself further, although he has not ruled out a money-spinning overseas switch in the future.

Speaking to reporters, he said:"I showed everyone the contract that Birmingham offered me.

"Two and a half million euros net per season for the next four years, double what I earn at Palermo. But I chose with my heart.

"Would I at 36 go to Dubai like (Fabio) Cannavaro?

"I would, but not for the life experience or in order for my children to learn languages. I would honestly play in Dubai just for the money.
